I'm in the process of setting up Farran Property Managment, LLC's Apple Business Manager account for your new devices. Apple will reach out to Liz for an approval on the Apple Business Manager approval. Once that's done I can enroll the iPads and get them off to you.

In the future for macOS, iPadOS and iOS devices we can purchase from an Apple Business Partner and have the device pre-enrolled.

Apps on managed iPadOS/iOS devices are installed via the "Company Portal". What Apps do you need distributed to these two devices?

I've already spoken with Liz and submitted the request to Apple.

I'm not exactly what you mean by "Google". Do you mean you need access to https://www.google.com, or that the applications cannot be completed with the iPadOS Safari browser and you need Google Chrome for iPadOS installed?

We can populate the "Company Portal" with any application you'd need to install on the device, so absolutely you can install apps later.

As an FYI, Google Chrome, Apple Safari, Microsoft Edge and every other web browser on iPadOS and iOS are based of the same core web browser engine (WebKit).

Apple decided to deny the Apple Business account request before attempting to verify with Liz. My (and the AppleCare support person I spoke with) only guess is that Liz's email domain "farranco.com" is already associated with an Apple Business Manager instance. So, I've re-applied for Farran Property Management, LLC with you and your email "[email protected]" as the verification contact. Please keep an eye out for an email from apple that requests a call back from you to verify the business.

If you need it, the DUNS number for Farran Property Management, LLC is 123829097.

Fantastic. It only took three separate times registering the Organization and two calls to AppleCare 🙄. I've never had so much trouble with an ABM account, but all in all it wasn't too bad.

It looks like there is an existing consumer AppleID in "arcgreatfalls.com", "auroragreatfalls.com", and "liveavion.com". Do you know what the accounts are or have access to these accounts? Apple does not disclose the account names, only that there is one in each of three primary domains.

I am dropping Liz off as she does not need to be in this chain. I have reached out to the properties to find out. I know Brantley has my old MacBook at Aurora. There is an iPad at Arc. But nothing at Avion. I will get back to you when I get the information from the sites.

The iPad at Arc, may have an appleID on it with an email from the arc domain, but I was under the impression that it could not be signed into (that the pin was not known). Your MacBook should not be associated with an AppleID from any of the domains but so I'm not sure what AppleID would be associated with Aurora. Hopefully someone at Avion might know.

Regardless, the point is to capture the consumer AppleID's and convert them into Managed AppleID's for your organization. Or, if they are a personal AppleID, change the email on the account to a personal address. If we can capture them, great, if we cannot capture them, it takes 30 days for the domains to work correctly for the Apple Business Manager and Managed AppleID's.

That said, it will not be a problem for these two devices as we can use "@farranmgmt.com" accounts to enroll them.

I'll start the domain capture now and check the logs for which "arcgreatfalls.com", "auroragreatfalls.com", and "liveavion.com" address receives an email from Apple. If the messages are sent to active addresses, they should show up in the logging.

Unless Gladis and Brantley are using these Apple Accounts for personal reasons, please have them convert the accounts to Managed Apple Accounts by following the instructions in the email "Update your Apple Account by June 01, 2025" emails they received. If the accounts are personal, please have them change the email address associated with the account to a personal address.

As for Arc, if you can get into the iPad, it may shed some light on the Apple Account that was created with an "@arcgreatfalls.com" address. As it stands, I do not believe it was created with an email address that is active in the Farran Property Management tenant.

Will do! Just an FYI, the Passcode on both is "112233" same as my luggage :D.

They are enrolled in MDM and able to be managed/wiped/locked remotely. If these are only for browser access to specific sites, and you'd like them to be as accessible as possible, we can put them into kiosk mode and have them open to a single app (the browser).
