Hi Peet,

I have the password for the computer with the gate system. However, I entered it incorrectly and am now locked out.

Please confirm that the password I have for the computer is correct.

Savannah,

First things first, please never send passwords in email. Email is inherently insecure, think of it like writing something on a postcard. Most of the time nobody reads it, but there is nothing stopping anyone along the way from doing so.

That said, the password you listed is no longer valid for the AuroraAdmin account. For day-to-day use, you should be logging in with the AuroraUser account instead. The current password for that account is stored in 1Password and should be used going forward.

I also see that the computer was hard-restarted about an hour ago, just before this ticket came in. It’s very important that this machine is always shut down or restarted cleanly using the Start Menu or the power icon on the login screen. Holding the power button or cutting power can cause issues with the Dormakaba system.

Unfortunately, that appears to be what happened here. The key management system is currently in a failed state. I’ll work on restoring it, but this may require involvement from Dormakaba support. I’ll follow up once I know whether I need to bring them in.

I ran into an issue yesterday and lost contact with the dormakaba key computer during a restart. If it’s stuck on a boot screen or needs a hard restart, please see if it can get back to a login screen and I’ll take a look at it as soon as I drop off the kiddo at school

Hi Peet,

I am currently in the office and have attempted to log into the Dormakaba computer using my email address ([email protected]) and my OnePassword credentials. However, I am receiving a message indicating that my email or password is invalid.

I need access to the system in order to make keys for a resident who is moving in today. Any assistance in resolving this as soon as possible would be greatly appreciated.
