Hi Peet, I have two new hires starting today at The Aurora. Patrick Cisneros is our new Senior Maintenance Technician and Kevin Vincent is our new Junior Maintenance Technician. We need O365 accounts for both. Additionally, the Maintenance computer at The Aurora was transferred over to The Arc with Deb Sadler. Would you please order us a new one for The Aurora? Finally, would it be possible for the maintenance computer to be a Microsoft Surface Pro or something that can easily be transitioned into a tablet to take onto the property for inspections and documentation? The touch screen and rear facing camera make them ideal for this use case. We did this at a company I used to work for, and each surface pro had a case like this one, to protect it and make it easy to handle on the property: [UAG Rugged Case for Surface Pro 11/10/9 with Kickstand, Handstrap, Shoulder Strap - 324012114343 - Tablet Cases - CDW.com](https://www.cdw.com/product/uag-rugged-case-for-surface-pro-11-10-9-with-kickstand-handstrap-shoulder/7209639) Thank you, Lauren Hill | Property Manager [email protected] (406) 708-4800

Lauren, The link for the rugged case does not appear to allow for the Surface Pro to be used with a keyboard cover. Is the expectation that this device will only be used as a tablet? Or will you need a dock/display/keyboard to use at a desk? Cheers.Peet

Hi Peet, We were able to dock it, take it out to the property, put the keyboard on it, etc. I think the Walmart photos might show it better but the case does have a cutout at the bottom for the keyboard magnet to catch. Hi Peet, One more thing: Will the new maintenance team members be able to log into one of the existing workstations using their new email and password? Lauren, Thanks for the extra photos. The expected workflow is to have a keyboard and trackpad to be used as a laptop replacement in any ad hoc location, to be used as a tablet for inspections, and to be used docked at a desk with an addional display/keyboard/mouse? What software will be used on the device? Yes they can sign into any FPM device with their credentials and MFA. Cheers.Peet

Lauren, Just checking in here. I just need to know the planned usage and the software on this one. The most power efficient and cost efficient modern Microsoft Surface Pro 12 and 13 inch devices are a different type of processer than they've used in the past. It works well for most every piece of Windows software, but there are a few exceptions and I'd like to make sure that if we were to get the ARM based surface that we don't have any software compatibility issues. I also need to make sur to purchase the appropriate periferals for the setup, keyboard cover, dock, dekstop keyboard/mouse, display etc. Just let me know and I'll get this going. Cheers.Peet

Hi Peet, Usage would be in-office on a dock, standalone with a keyboard pad, and tablet mode with a pen. I'm not aware of any software that will be needed beyond the browser-based operating platforms we use. Yardi may have a maintenance app that streamlines inspections, but beyond that, it would just be the normal O365 apps, Edge, etc. Is there any software you have in mind that may have compatibility issues? That sounds perfect. Are there any existing periferals that will be used with the computer or will everything need to be purchased fresh? Thanks a million. Peet

Hey Peet, We don't have anything here for the maintenance workstation - anything that was here went to Arc with that computer. Can we have a dock, monitor, type cover, pen, and rugged case? Hi Peet, can we have a surface dock as well? Could you send Liz a link for her to order us one? That way we can connect our peripherals to that, and when we come and go with the tablet, all we need to do is unplug the tablet from the dock. Liz, I'm not sure where in the ether that order confirmation from you went. I just cannot find it, but no worries if everything is oredered! Lauren, The display provides 90w of power delivery, wired gigabit ethernet, and has 3 USB3 type A ports and 1 USB3 type C port. Do you need moreconnectivity than that? The wireless mouse and keyboard use a logitech unifying reciever so you will dedicate one of the USB A ports to the dongle. Are the remaining 3 usb ports suficcent?[embedded image]
