Hi Peet,

At the end of employment Ruth will be keeping the laptop purchased by HRC for her personal use. This is part of the agreement. She is charged a certain amount for that on end of year reporting as income. How do I deal with that with HRC enrollment/disenrollment, etc? May have to have a conversation with you about this.

Also, on Kate’s new laptop, the arrangement is the same. She gets to keep it as personal use and is charged as income at the end of employment. Is it okay for me to add a “guest” user on this computer? She intends to log in as guest when using it for her personal use.

Sus,

Passing on a laptop is pretty simple ... We send an "Erase all content and settings ..." command to it ... make sure that the wipe starts. It can even finish, but the computer cannot be put online until it's released from business.apple.com. Once it's released, it will function as a fully consumer device.

Also, on Kate’s new laptop, the arrangement is the same. She gets to keep it as personal use and is charged as income at the end of employment. Is it okay for me to add a “guest” user on this computer? She intends to log in as guest when using it for her personal use.
Hmm, the best idea would be to create a local standard user for her like "kate". She'll need to keep in mind that any data on it will be wiped when it's released and dis-enrolled.
