Hi Peet- I am in need of an update for June in Bulk Mailer. Sounds like we want to switch the licensing from the server to a desktop. Is that a possibility? Pete, Since Jennifer is the only one using Bulk Mailer, we’d like to migrate the license to her desktop and eliminate the need to run it on the server. This would not only be more cost-effective but would also allow Jennifer to download update files and manage the Bulk Mailer updates on her own, without relying on IT. Peet BCC has created an account for me but declined to grant download rights on the portal, which are necessary to apply updates. They informed me that they require a formal letter on company letterhead from the current admin (Jan), explicitly authorizing these permissions for me. Brandon, I'm sure James Caldwell [email protected] can help you out. But in the meantime I've worked a bit on the issue: - The June update is applied and jobs are archived. - I have no idea what kind of system they're running for their support site, but it allows you to change every detail about the account holder, so the account is now "bditty" with the following info. I have no idea why they'd pretend to care about account security if they don't even verify *ANY* of the changes I made to this account ... ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ : [embedded image] - The password for the account is here: https://start.1password.com/open/i?a=EAFWNRNHO5CUBE3YJ2EPU6PDBM&v=wg6inyydz6wkeizrlmot6inx64&i=sxyh4gchejzqekd53tfrj4nh54&h=agmso.1password.com The current product and license can be migrated to a desktop class machine. I would not install it on Jenny's Windows 10-only Dell OptiPlex 3020, i5-4590 (mid 2014). My recommendation would be a modern Optiplex with a min 512TB nvme and 16GB DDR5. Depending on your refresh cycle a 1TB/32GB would be better. A Dell micro 7000 plus would work well. If you'd like to schedule it as a project alongside my offboarding/transition, I'd be happy to. As far as changing licensing I would defer to Jess and Jenn on that one. When I last discussed the prospect with them, there were plans to add back another mailing support person. I can say that if there are plans to add another user, I would not change the license type. When I was first supporting The Directory when Jan bought the business, they used two single user licenses on two separate machines. It was a bit of madness to keep track of which mailing was accessible from which computer. The current licensing does not expire until 10/01/25, so you have a bit of time before you need to change anything. I have some emails from James Caldwell that I'll forward to you. Peet

Thank you for taking care of this, Peet. Working with BCC support wasn’t exactly a highlight, so I really appreciate your help. Ideally, we could just migrate the current product and license to a desktop machine, that would make things much easier. I've scheduled a meeting for Monday so we can go over the details.
