Boston,

You may or may not have received an email from Microsoft notifying you that they will no longer provide any free licensing for "Microsoft Office E1" or "Microsoft 365 Business Premium" starting in July 2025.

What does that mean for FVLT? TLDR: Microsoft is no longer providing 10 free licenses of "Microsoft 365 Business Premium". FVLT will have to pay "full" non-profit price for all licenses of "Microsoft 365 Business Premium" going forward. Depending on how you'd like to budget, it could be best to move to paying Microsoft directly instead of Artichoke Consulting as a Microsoft Partner.

Currently you have 14 licenses of "Microsoft 365 Business Premium", 10 are free and you only pay for 4 of those licenses. They are billed monthly at $5.50/user ($22.00/mo total) with an annual commitment ending 9/16/25.

You have 3 licenses of "Microsoft Office E1" for service accounts, currently these are free. I currently cannot see a reason these could not be converted to free Microsoft 365 Business Basic licenses. If I hit on a security or workflow reason, I'll let you know.

Because of changes in the Microsoft reseller platform, I'm going to no longer resell Microsoft licenses that are paid for monthly but have a yearly commitment.

With no changes in user counts, your pricing via Artichoke Consulting after the change will be as follows.

"Microsoft 365 Business Basic": 3 x $0.00 = $0.00/mo
"Microsoft 365 Business Premium" monthly commitment: 13 x $6.60 = $85.80/mo
or

"Microsoft 365 Business Basic": 3 x $0.00 = $0.00/year
"Microsoft 365 Business Premium" yearly: 13 x $66.00 = $858.00/year

With no changes in user counts, your pricing direct from Microsoft after the change will be as follows:

"Microsoft 365 Business Basic": 3 x $0.00 = $0.00/mo

"Microsoft 365 Business Premium" monthly with annual commitment:
13 x $5.50 = $71.50/mo

or

"Microsoft 365 Business Basic": 3 x $0.00 = $0.00/year
"Microsoft 365 Business Premium" yearly: 13 x $66.00 = $858.00/year

Please let me know any questions you may have.

Cheers.Peet

Thanks for the heads up Peet,

It seems I may need your help updating the billing to us. I only have read permissions even under my global admin account.
