Good Morning, My name is Emily Hale and I am the new office coordinator at MEP. I am reaching out today because I am having some issues with one of my desktops. It is in power saving mode, and I have unplugged and plugged everything back in. Both the other desktop and laptop are working fine but cannot connect to the second desktop. Do you have any tips for me to get the desktop to turn on? My phone number is 406-540-2929 if you want to call me. Thank you for your help! Emily

Hi Emily, Welcome to MEP! I think what you're describing is that only one of the two displays has video output from the M1 Macbook Air. That's not at all surprising. A little history/FYI ... when apple switched from Intel processors to their own M series processors, they dropped the ability to drive more than one monitor from the M1 and M2 MacBooks. The M3 MacBook can drive two external monitors, but only if the lid is closed. The M4 finally returns to the status quo of driving the internal display and two external monitors natively. The work around to drive two monitors is to use a USB video adapter chip and software from DisplayLink. The monitor that is not producing output should be connected to a "Pluggable" DisplayLink adapter that's connected to the "Caldigit" dock on your desk. If that's not the case, please let me know. DisplayLink adapters *require* that "DisplayLink Manager.app" be running for the device to output to the second display. I just checked your device and "DisplayLink Manager.app" was not running for your user, and I launched it for you. If you'd like it to run automatically when you log in, please ensure the app is configured to startup automatically on login. In your menubar click the Display link icon (if you don't see the icon, open "DisplayLink Manager.app" instide of "/Applications") : [embedded image] Click Settings. Check "Launch automatically after login" [embedded image] If that does not resolve your issue, but you're sure the app is running. There may be an issue with Apple's "Privacy & Security" settings. We can address that if the above doesn't work. Let me know. Cheers.Peet

Emily, Sorry I just took a moment to check your device and from the command line, it does seem like all 3 displays are now active, so do let me know ... [embedded image]
