Microsoft is about to change the rules, and many senders will be caught off guard.
Microsoft will now reject unauthenticated consumer emails (Hotmail, Outlook.com, etc.) that fail DMARC.

Not a soft fail. Not a spam folder reroute.
A hard 550 error. Email blocked. No second chances.
