Peet, we’re having a glitchy problem with voicemails that is best described through a screen share. Can we hop on Elin’s computer together? I’m out at 1:15-2:15 but can talk before or after.

Also, in our directory, the speak option for getting a queue/ mailbox for a team isn’t consistent. For example, sometimes the Executive Director one registers with the auto attendant and sometimes not. We’re wondering if we should just stick to dial by number.

Lastly, when we receive calls, staff are experiencing a couple second delay to get connected once we pick up. Any idea about why?

Thanks!
EJ

Hi Peet and EJ -

An update. All emails have now been "synched" or whatever has occurred. Chet and I have both received all the voicemail messages that were stuck in our Activity area with no ability to see or listen, and they landed in our Outlook inboxes as well as our history/voicemail area in Teams. The time stamp on each message was the original time the message was actually left. Chet received messages from days ago (which he knew about, so no concern).
Also... I left a voicemail for Chet and he got it in both locations right away. So, at the moment, there's no problem!
Peet - did you do anything to make this happen? Anything we should know or do if/when this occurs again?
Thanks!
Elin

Great to hear the VMs are flowing as designed. I've made no changes to your system, so I believe you were experiencing a transitory delivery issue. A cursory look at https://admin.microsoft.com/#/servicehealth and https://admin.microsoft.com/#/servicehealth/history doesn't show any standout service interruptions that would explain your issue. Though it can be hard to pinpoint based on the descriptions in "Service health".

Depending on the issues with voice routing, you may want to add more distinct and unique sounds to the "Voice command". For example, you could change "trails" to "trails program", "conservation" to "conservation team", "stewardship" to "land stewardship", "donation" to "???". "Park County", "executive director" and "general voicemail" all seem to be clear sets of sounds.

If you do update your voice commands don't forget to update the script to reflect any changes.

Thanks Peet. Yea, it was super odd. A few of us were experiencing calls we know that came in but they weren't accessible in the recent calls list, only in the 'activity' side of that screen. And if they left a voicemail, we'd see it pop into our email as a notification and then delete itself before our eyes within seconds. So the emails were inaccessible. Something happened and then boom, old voicemails from days ago popped into our mailboxes.

Now that it happened once we'll be on high alert if it happens again.

As for the voice commands, let me talk to Elin. I'm wondering if we just skip them and use numbers. We can do some further testing and see if it is working consistently for all.

E
