Hi Peet,

There are a couple of new applications I'd like to install. These are:

Adobe Acrobat
Microsoft Power BI desktop

I already have an Adobe subscription, but I can't install the app with my password. I haven't tried to install the Microsoft one but it's here: https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/download/details.aspx?id=58494

Do you have to install these? Do I need to login as admin?

Nicole,

"Adobe Acrobat Pro.app" is installed via the "Adobe Creative Cloud.app", which is available as an optional install in your "Managed Software Center.app: on your Mac.

Here's. a direct link to the installer in "Managed Software Center.app": munki://detail-CCDesktop.html

After you install "Adobe Creative Cloud.app" you should be prompted to sign into your adobe account. If not, open the Creative Cloud app by navigating here and starting the app: "/Applications/Adobe Creative Cloud/Adobe Creative Cloud".

Microsoft Power BI Desktop is a Windows only application and requires Windows 10 or 11 to run. If your interested in having a Windows desktop available for your use, Microsoft offers Windows 365 Enterprise which gives you access to a Windows instance remotely. Here is the pricing:

As an FYI, the PDF app that I was speaking of was called PDF Pen Pro. It's been sold to Nitro PDF and it is now subscription based, and funny enough at $140/user/year it costs more than subscribing to SetApp, so at $108/user/year Setapp is the best value for getting Nitro PDF as it gives you access to all these apps: https://setapp.com/apps

However, since Nitro purchased the app, it's not been the best solution for some PDF editing on the Mac. That seems to be PDF Expert. https://pdfexpert.com/ Their pricing is $80/user/year or $140/perpetual (with some omitted features like built in AI). It's also extremely easy to purchase via Apple Business Manager and distribute to MEP users or computers

Regardless, Adobe Acrobat Pro is $240/user/year and much better options exist.
