Hi Peet! Thanks so much for this email as well!! The new ED won me over and instead of parting for good, I'll be taking an extended break. I'm leaving the country today actually, and will be back around the 20th. But I won't actually be returning to work until Monday April 7th, at which point I'll be returning to a new job psition. Heather, I'd mis-scheduled the reminder to email you for June 7, but revisited this ticket while putting together a list of non-profits to contact about Microsoft's licensing changes. I checked on your licensing and it looks to be more than a little bit off kilter. The credit card associated with the license is failing the charge for your "Microsoft 365 Business Premium" licensing. You will have an interruption soon if you have not already. Hi Peet!! Thanks so much for this message!! I've put myself on your calendar for next Wednesday the 28th at 1pm to discuss our licensing and support moving forward. RE the license, we have yet to see any interruption in service but do think we'll need to update the payment card. I'm logged into 1Password on my end, but it's changed a bit so I'm not seeing anyplace to update that information right now, which I'd be happy to do. Thanks so much Peet! Heather, Great to talk yesterday. Here's what we went over: - The ZACC, is restructuring and retooling budgets and as of right today Artichoke Managed Services are not part of your budget. - Here are the steps we've taken to transition Artichoke Consulting access: - 1Password: - Convert "[email protected]" to "Owner" and ensure access to all vaults - Recover "[email protected]" account to reset authentication to direct 1Password authentication with "secret key" encryption. NOTE: Do not lose that printed "Emergency Kit". Your "secret key" is required for setting up any new devices, or account recovery. - Migrate any "Employee" vault records from "[email protected]" and delete the account. - Invoice for annually for 1 license of 1Password for Business @ $72/User/Year - Microsoft: - Change the password and MFA for "[email protected]" and record them in 1Password Sysadmin vault - Discuss changes to M365 Partner Relationship ... here I'm not exactly positive of the right course of action. If you need any M365 support in the future it will likely be for something requiring immediate attention. The current partner relationship allows me to re-engage quickly. I'm comfortable leaving the Partner Relationship in place and not having an active access to a Global Administrator account. What are your thoughts? - Add new billing information under "[email protected]" and resubscribed to the 3 license of "Microsoft 365 Business Premium for NonProfit Staff" as well as the free Teams Conferencing plan. - I've scheduled your 10 User Microsoft Premium DONATION to cancel 03/20/26. This should cancel at the end of July 2025, and at that point you will need to update your paid license to meet your current user count, e.g. move it from 3 to 13 users. However, I'd recommend doing that only when you see the license as canceled here: https://admin.microsoft.com/Adminportal/Home#/subscriptions [embedded image] - - Cloudflare: - I want reiterate what we discussed about Cloudflare. The Cloudflare account that's stored in your 1Password is an empty account with no services. I built it in anticipation of migrating your DNS and DMARC monitoring to a more secure/flexible platform than Dreamhost. - As far as I understand, your domain is registered and managed at Dreamhost. I genuinely enjoy working with both you and The ZACC. My fingers, toes, and everything else that can be crossed that The ZACC will be able to engage Artichoke Managed Service in the future. I'd love to bring modern efficiency, conveinience and security to your IT. As I mentioned, I'll be available for emergencies under our current contracted rates. What I didn't mention is that I would also be open to working on or advising on limited scope projects. And please, please, please don't delay reaching out in an emergency out of a worry about boundaries. If the ZACC engages me on an urgent issue, it's to both our advantage to loop me in early.
