Begin forwarded message: From: Keeza Leavens <[email protected]> Subject: MEP New Computer Date: January 22, 2025 at 8:14:09 AM MST To: Peet McKinney <[email protected]> Hi Peet! Julie is running into some issues with her computer no longer holding a charge, and I think it may be time to get her a new one. Could you let me know what this process would look like, including prices and timelines? Once I have some information, I'll check with Grant before making a final decision, but her computer isn't working right now. -- Keeza Leavens Office Coordinator Missoula Economic Partnership (406)541–6461 [email protected] https://www.missoulapartnership.com/ 500 N Higgins Ave, Missoula, MT 59802

Keeza, Sorry I missed this until today, but do send requests to [email protected] so they can generate tickets. That said, it does look like Julie's computer is running, but just not on battery, correct? I'm hoping that if she was dead in the water, you would call. Apple's current generation Macbook Air's use the M3 processor and are fantastic. They are, however, due for a refresh with M4 processors this quarter. Apple does not give warning, they just drop new devices at "Events", and the Spring event has not been announced. Regardless, waiting for a new device to be released is not the best plan of if the current device is failing. I usually have clients buy their Macs from B and H under their own B and H account so they can be automatically enrolled in Apple Business Manager. Both the 13" and 15" MBA M3 with 16GB 512GB are currently $1300. I can send a link to the correctly configured device that works best for Julie and you can purchase it directly. Technically, you should be able to simply unbox it, sign in and be on your way, but since your automated enrollment workflow hasn't been tested with a new machine for some time, it may be best to ship it directly to me and I'll make sure it's enrolled correctly. Artichoke Consulting 1805 Bancroft St. Ste. 5 Missoula, MT 59801 Let me know if you have any questions. Cheers.Peet

Hi Peet, Apologies for not sending the request to the correct email – it must have slipped my mind. The computer is still running, but the battery is failing. Julie is struggling to make it through a one-hour meeting without the computer dying. Is there any chance we could just replace the battery? If not, I’ll discuss other options with Grant. It would be great if we could purchase the battery and ship the computer to you for the replacement process. I’ll follow up with you soon. Thanks so much! -- Keeza Leavens Office Coordinator Missoula Economic Partnership (406)541–6461 [email protected] https://www.missoulapartnership.com/ 500 N Higgins Ave, Missoula, MT 59802 From: Artichoke Support - Peet <[email protected]> Date: Thursday, January 23, 2025 at 3:57 PM To: Keeza Leavens <[email protected]> Subject: Fwd: MEP New Computer (message id: 90854578)

The battery can be replaced. The shop I used to recommend closed, but I'm sure Best Buy can do battery replacements: https://www.bestbuy.com/site/apple-service-repair/mac-service-repair/pcmcat1554832647735.c It might be a good way to hold out until the M4 is released? Cheers.Peet
