Hi Peet,

Quick question: if Susan needs to plug the Synology box down the road, say in a year or two, does she have a login or does she need to use padmin? That's for either the server volumes as well as the backend.

Sorry for missing this reply. One of those things that I read, answered, but forgot to actually send that answer!

Yes. The best thing to do is use "padmin" to access anything on the device in the future. But do let me know when you/she will be tuning down the system and I'll make sure it's in order before shutdown. (maybe ad a "susan.ash" user locally to the NAS that's also an admin?)

Thanks Peet. We're hoping to shut down by the end of March but we'll give you plenty of heads up.

It would be great to add susan.ash as a local admin. You can set a pw and add it to 1PW. She now has a personal 1PW so I can share it with her. I just need to add it to the instruction sheet I'm generating for her.

Hi Peet,

If you can get that writeup to me, I can complete my documentation for Susan and we'll be that much closer to shutting it down.

FYI - I will be wiping the laptops for Leta and Loreen next week, then Susan the week after. Once we get the Google accounts downloaded, we can shut that down, then that leaves MS365.
