Huntress detected one or more logins using Proton VPN. This VPN was not expected or unauthorized by an access rule at the time that the login was observed. Huntress has generated this as an escalation to get more information from you.

Please note: This is NOT an incident report. If the Huntress SOC deems this activity malicious, you will receive a follow-on incident report regardless of whether or not you resolve this escalation.

Action required: Let Huntress know if logins using Proton VPN are unauthorized and should be reported as an incident or if this login was expected. Review the escalation for more details.

Hey there Ryan,

I'm just making sure that you were accessing your M365 FVLT account via a VPN (porobably Proton).

Hi Peet, Yes that was me. Trying out Proton VPN on my personal computer. Related, do you have a VPN that you’d recommend?

Thanks!

I don't really have a perfect recommendation for VPN. It really depends on your goals. Proton is known for security and privacy. I would just recommend that you only go with known providers that offer the service that meets your goal.
