I've kind of lost my mind on this one, and am currently at an impasse. I fully factory reset the printer and unfortunately do not have the default password. The password should be on a label on the back Pwd: XXXXXXX. Could you please get that for me? Also please unplug the printer from power for 120 seconds. Then plug it back in and see if it scans again. Thanks.Peet [embedded image] undefined

Peet, Thank you so much for working on this!!!! I can't find the password, but am attaching a picture of the label on the back in case I missed it, and also the test page that I found in the printer. To be clear though, you did unplug the MFP from power for 2 minutes, right? I can see what the issue is now and I'm fairly positive that the fix (many years ago) was to pull from power for a solid amount of time and then plug back in. I did work out the password after your response, so thank you! it was good to see a picture of the label you sent. Let me know about the power thing. Cheers.Peet

So, I turned off all computers and unplugged printer for at least 5 minutes -& did this multiple times: First time restarting the all-in-one PC, it tried to update the printer, but needed the password which I don't have... so no update happened I don't think. Here's what I've discovered: - I CAN scan on both computers using 'windows fax and scan', we could use this if we're desperate, but it doesn't scan as a PDF 🙁 - I can scan a PDF to the all-in-one initializing it from the actual printer but cannot scan using the brother "utilities" app from the all-in-one PC, it has to be initialized from the printer. - Jaqui's PC won't scan using the brother app or initializing it from the printer Hope this might help! Great. Thanks! On another note, I am almost ready to move my computer to the back office. I already have cat5 ran to an outlet back there. I just need to call spectrum and make sure there is Internet running thru that line. I'll let you know when I get that taken care of. Not exacty. Did you want to move the Cable modem etc into the back office? If so you'd need to route the CableTV cable to that room.
