I hope you've had a great spring!

I'm reaching out to pretty please ask for your help with a few smaller things email related, which I'm hoping we can tackle all on one ticket.

Jerod Peitsmeyer's phone screen unfortunately broke, and his authenticator app is on that phone. All our troubleshooting leads us to you and we're wondering if you can help. From our end, it looks like it's trying to send you a QR code that he enters on his phone. Have you seen this come through?

That same employee generally works from a Microsoft PC and managed to hardcore lock himself out of the device. When we try to login, it asks for a bitlocker key - is this something you're able to help us find?

Employee turnover/email shutdown. Caitlin is no longer with our organization, and currently her email is set to auto forward to me. We have not yet hired a replacement ED, so maybe this will continue to be best until hiring occurs? Zoe Sykora's last day will be May 31st. We are working on hiring a replacement for her, but think it may be best for this to also get set to forward to me when the day comes.

I've required an MFA re-registration at next login for the account "[email protected]". I highly recommend having folks navigate to https://aka.ms/mfasetup and ensure they have both their MS Authenticator and their phone for SMS configured. Though I believe a change in your password recovery settings should enforce SMS setup on next long for everyone.

Without a Recovery Key, you cannot recover a failed BitLocker volume. I have not setup or configured your devices to Escrow encryption keys, but somehow it looks like there is a Windows LENOVO (PF3AS0Q0) computer named JEROD, enrolled by Delaney Wascherol. And there is an escrowed key ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ ...

Hi Peet!

Thank you so much for this and your patience while I circled back around!!

Jerod got into his email, and I got the link sent out to everyone else. I sat down and walked through it with one of the staff who has difficulties with tech - and got it done straight away - so we're already making progress.

In regard to the computer, seems like it may be a goner. That recovery key you sent worked, but it keeps circling in a loop trying to run diagnostics and self-repair and getting nowhere. Not too stressed as it was a second hand donated machine from Submittable.

The automated replies look great, but can I please make some updates to Caitlin's as shown below? Caitlin's can message can start showing right away, but Zoe's should not start until June 1st. I'm hoping to have more information about her replacement today, and will let you know ASAP.

Forwarding to two people is a bit tricky ... a group must be created then forward to that group. If it's truly necessary, it's not a problem, but I avoid it if it's not needed.

As it stands you are receiving Caitlin's email, but you'd like Jen to also receive it ... Can one of you take point on receiving forwarded emails into their own INBOX, but both of you have access to Caitlin's shared mailbox? e.g. email comes to Caitlin, delivered to Jen, if you need to see anything, you can look directly into Caitlin's existing mailbox, including new email (and Jen would see that mailbox as well).

That said, on the note of emails, last week the board voted to place a new interim director in place and her name is Erika Peterman. We're hoping to get her an email ([email protected]) and access to all the drives and such when possible.

Sorry for the end of day email, I'm wondering if it would be possible to get Erika email access by this next Monday (or "today" which is when I'm hoping you're reading this)? If not, is there a general timeline I can give her?

I also have more information on Zoe's replacement. Due to the candidate pool, it made the most sense to replace her with part time employees. We've hired Jules Lucero & Jennica Norton, and both will also need emails if we can get all three tackled at once.

I'm so sorry we've another mass influx of change at the ZACC and I'm so appreciative of your help when it comes to our emails.
