#26408 Finger print login not working more than a day

I’ve been experiencing the following problem with logging in to my computer since getting this new powerbook:

After I restart the OS I login to my computer by typing my password. Then, for about 1 day if my computer goes to sleep (because of inactivity) and I come back and I am able to use fingerprint login to get back past the lock screen. After about a day, it is as though fingerprint login is disabled on my computer until I completely restart the OS again.

By that I mean I use my fingerprint scanner to wake the machine but nothing happens. I have to revert to typing y full login password anytime my screen locks until I restart my maching. Given how often I step away from my machine on any given day, how long my login is to type, and how bad I am at typing, this becomes a cumbersome task.

I’ve tried to trouble shoot this on apple  website but I can find any relevant information. I had hoped it my improve with an OS update, but it hasn’t. Since you mentioned the login system we use having some bugs, I thought it would be worth sending you this to see if there is any chance of a fix.
