As part of their new email sender requirements, Google and Yahoo will be requiring DMARC. Without DMARC implemented, your emails are at risk of being blocked.

Since [these requirements were released in October 2023, they’ve been updated](https://get.valimail.com/OTM2LVNXRi05NzgAAAGRBL82809p8dhfW13MFqZe9l6gabGdMwZTRbehvTlqOJF-mTY8H9lJUw6Yfeu3G-q_V5tUBvo=). According to the latest timeline, the changes will begin to go into effect today, February 1, 2024, and gradually roll out over the coming months.

We’re here! Beginning in February, senders who don’t meet the new requirements from Google and Yahoo will begin to see temporary errors (with error codes) on a small percentage of their non-compliant email traffic.

These temporary errors are meant to help senders identify email traffic that doesn’t meet Google and Yahoo’s guidelines so that senders can resolve issues that result in non-compliance. Or, you can beat the deadlines and get ahead of the temporary errors, by leveraging Valimail’s email delivery report to understand your authentication posture and gaps.

The February temporary errors are just the beginning, with rejections starting in April. Get the visibility you need today, so that you aren’t caught unaware or unprepared and playing catch up.
