Peet— I want to get our email archiving (they call it “journaling” set up ASAP). We have a service available to us through our compliance software provider (RIA in a Box). Would you please review the attached instructions and let me know if we are good to go on trying to set this up? I didn’t want to do it without going through you first. Or if you’d like to help us set it up, that would be great too. And of course, let me know if this is a horrible idea and we should be doing something else! 😉 Thanks, Peet! Jill

Jill, I'll need admin credentials to your RIA in a box account. The "SA-SysAdmin" account is shared between you and me only. Please put the credentials for RIA in a box in there. Cheers. Peet

Done! There is 2FA activated, so you might have to connect with me to log in. From: Artichoke Support - Peet <[email protected]> Sent: Monday, November 20, 2023 5:43 PM To: Jill Tripp <[email protected]> Subject: Email Archiving (message id: 75142038)

Take a look at the record in 1Password. I converted your MFA from email-based (likely the least secure MFA available) to OTP (one time password/google auth/open auth), the kind you take a picture of the QR code and get the rotating number. This is easier for sharing reasons and arguably much more secure. Here's 1Password's instructions on adding OTP to records: https://support.1password.com/one-time-passwords/ Cheers.Peet

Hi Peet. Trying to log into the compliance website this morning and can’t seem to get in using the Authenticator—doesn’t like my codes. Need help please and thanks! I’m sorry I’m sure I just didn’t explain it quite right. The authenticator code is on the record in 1Password. I just logged in and I know it does work. 1Password should be auto filling the 2FA code. [embedded image]

Thank you, Peet. I will take a peek and see how it is working. I saw that I can set up some “rules” in there—I should probably take a peek at that so it is not archiving a bunch of garbage that we don’t need. Jill PS—Laptops shipped over the weekend—bet you’ll be seeing them in the next day or two. You risk more by tweaking that you risk by simply collecting everything, so I'd not worry about limiting any of the archive. I'll let you know when I get the new laptops. Unless either of your current computers explode, I'm going to take a bit of time to work with and set up these two. Cheers.Peet
