Both PAR-Guest and PAR-Staff connect to internet-only networks. If you need something on the PAR LAN, use the WARP client. Peet

Peet - we're not getting DHCP addresses and the wifi is connecting but no internet. I had to set Makayla to manual IP address for an Ethernet connection. ~jb On Tue, Sep 26, 2023 at 4:26 PM Artichoke Support - Peet <[email protected]> wrote:

Is the old router completely disconnected? Did you update/change any settings on DHCP on par-dc01/par-dc02? DHCP has historically come from the domain controllers and is separate from the router so, it's a tad confusing. Cheers.Peet

Old router is unplugged. I didn't change any settings at all. On Wed, Sep 27, 2023 at 9:45 AM Artichoke Support - Peet <[email protected]> wrote:

Hmmmm ... looking at the old router config, it looks like it was handling DHCP even though it is turned on on the domain controller ... ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ . Assuming the ports on the new firewall are labeled 1,2,3,4 left to right, port 2 on the firewall is plugged into port 1 on the pro 48 poe unifi switch, correct?

I've enabled DHCP on the router and I see 1 lease on 192.168.100.100, for a device called Partners-mini. I'm not sure what box that is. If you bounce another box that is set for DHCP on the network, do you get an IP? Peet [embedded image]

We picked up a used replacement for the old mini in the conference room mainly for our upcoming Deloitte meetings the last week of October. I'm currently loading OS. On Wed, Sep 27, 2023 at 10:01 AM Artichoke Support - Peet <[email protected]> wrote:

KK. And do other wired devices get DHCP when connected to the network? Peet

I don't have another box so I grabbed an old laptop I had planned to recycle. It picked up .254 over Ethernet On Wed, Sep 27, 2023 at 10:01 AM Artichoke Support - Peet <[email protected]> wrote:

It picked up .254 over Ethernet? 192.168.100.254 is the router and 1000% should not be in the DHCP scope. Are you sure that was the IP?

PAR-Guest and PAR-Staff Wifi connections both say no internet Yes. They are both configured correctly but something in the switches/AP's is not passing the DHCP requests.

I'm not sure why DHCP isn't flowing, but remotely restarting the switches is a good place to start. I've ensured that DHCP Guard is disabled across the board on the switches as well as IGMP snooping .... Wait, did you plug in Port 3 on the switch? If not, pleas do and let me know what port it is connected to. Cheers.Peet

The 3rd port on the router is open. Port 3 on the 48-port switch goes to our alarm box. On Wed, Sep 27, 2023 at 10:22 AM Artichoke Support - Peet <[email protected]> wrote:

It doesn't matter which port you plug port 3 from the firewall to the switch. Just need it connected please (and to know where it's plugged in). Cheers.Peet

Probably would have been quicker this morning if you had someone here that could actually count to 5. :) On Wed, Sep 27, 2023 at 10:44 AM Artichoke Support - Peet <[email protected]> wrote:
