Hey man - We’re gonna be hiring more people, was wondering if you’d had a chance to check out that google thing? I've been able to allow logins via GCPW and it does work. There are things I'm confused/curious about, like I feel like I have the settings correct to allow for offline use, but if the user is created by the GCPW, the local username is unknowable, e.g. [email protected] is not fbldadmin, but fbldadmin_flowersbyl ... so without knowing that username, I'm not sure how an offline login will work as it's also not possible to login as [email protected] ... just found a solution for this as there's a setting to create the local user as just the first part of the domain name ... so that's not a problem. https://support.google.com/a/answer/9250996#registry_keys&zippy=%2Cconfigure-gcpw-with-the-devices-registry-settings I also can't seem to suppress a warning about how the google workplace admin will have management rights every titmice a user logs in. (see attached) I'm resetting the Windows VM that I'm using for testing to give it another go. I think because I've imported the VM as an "Owned Device" it might behave a bit differently on the second go around. I'll drop the "use_shorter_account_name" setting in and see how it goes. Peet

Just adding this thread to the ticket: Peet McKinney: Basically “Sign in with your work account” is a google sign in and the “right” way to sign in if you have internet. Josh Rahl: Will the face recognition work with that? Peet McKinney: If you don’t, hit the local user password key icon and login with local user Yes it should, BUT I don’t have a Windows hello enabled device to easily test on. You *may* have to reset the Hello face login for the user(s) Josh Rahl: Ok Peet McKinney: The accounts are basically the same as the JumpCloud accounts. They are local accounts with their password sync’d with an online source of authority. So because of that, all local account features should work. Josh Rahl: Sweet. Peet McKinney: If you create your users with the same short name and the same password in admin.google, they’ll end up with the same users profile. Just don’t forget to … Add “un:WINDOWSUSERNAME” to “Enhanced desktop security” for each of the users you create … e.g. “un:josh” for your account. https://share.cleanshot.com/buuPBMT8dQEo1wnSqXFK It’s not necessary for users that are new, or who don’t already have a local profile. e.g. if you hired someone today, their Google account would not need “un:WINDOWSUSERNAME” in “Enhanced desktop security” . I’ll cut and past the above into a ticket, but figured you could give it a try when you’d like

Also a single email with the "Enhanced desktop security” info: Add “un:WINDOWSUSERNAME” to “Enhanced desktop security” for each of the users you create … e.g. “un:josh” for your account. https://share.cleanshot.com/buuPBMT8dQEo1wnSqXFK
