Hello Peet, I hope you are doing well. I know better than to ask if you are still as busy as you were when we last spoke. I’m sure you are. …and I’m sorry to bug you but I was a little concerned about this (see attached photo) that appeared today on my desktop. I’ve never seen that before. Also, since I’m having to bother you anyway, I’m getting update request for something called BBE software. What is that and do I need to update? Thanks Peet. Jan Peissig

Jan, Thanks for reaching out. The desktop info is 100% expected (if not 100% expected on your computer :D ). If you can ignore the info on the desktop, that would be the easiest. Your computers are on my internal management as you're really the only "home" user I manage/help any more. It's just great at-a-glance info for each computer. The most interesting bit of info on there is the uptime. If you hit a month ... make sure to restart :D. I've configured BBEdit.app to only update via the Managed Software Update.app, so as long as it's not running, it will be kept up to date silently. Happy Wednesday. Peet BBEdit is also part of my base set of software. It's a free plain-text editor that is really handy when troubleshooting. I've made sure that the only updates about that software will come from the Managed Software Center.app, which applies automatically as long as the application is currently running. Cheers.Peet
