Good morning, Can you please let me know what we’ll need to plan on doing to move the Superior office to the new location? They would like to move by October 1st. Susan Cloninger 1801 S. Higgins Missoula, MT 59801 (406) 728-3710

I need a survey of the new location to know what's available for wired networking. If it's not adequate, we'll need to either pull wire or invest in wireless solutions. We'll need Internet with a static IP. If Blackfoot is providing the network, you'll want to ask them to have their modem in bridge mode. The router will need to be reconfigured (if there's a change in IP). The switch, router and wifi will need to be relocated and connected to the network. The computers and printers will need to be relocated and connected to the network. It's likely that I'll need to visit, but it may not be necessary. Do you have a floor plan and network map for the new location? Cheers.Peet

I have pictures, but not the floor plan at this point. I can ask about that. I assume that wiring should not be an issue, it used to be a bank and there are several ports in many areas. I was thinking you would probably have to make a trip up there as well. Susan Cloninger 1801 S. Could you attach said pictures or put them somewhere I can reach on Human? Do you have pictures of the wiring closet? Cheers.Peet

Crazy big. Any chance someone could get a picture of the Network closet? i.e. the place where all the network/phone jack's terminate? Cheers.Peet

Won't win any photography awards, but as long as thos cables runing to that black rack are not broken anywhere, it should be a really simple move ... providing that there is a jack everywhere you want a device. I'll need to know if you have places that only have one ethernet running to them that will need more than one jack, i.e. a place where two printers and one computer all need to be online, but just one jack. Cheers.Peet
