#37414 Action: New support request
Hi Peet,
This request is related to but separate from Ticket Number 37355, so I think this requires a separate ticket. Juniper Square acknowledged that there was an outage with their email provider, Mailgun, for which you opened the previous ticket.
Farran uses two instances of Juniper Square – one for Farran projects (which is working fine) and one for Aurora Apartment Homes (also known as Juniper Square - Olivet). The Juniper Square workspace for Aurora Apartments is no longer working. https://theauroragreatfalls.junipersquare.com/login
Per Juniper Square:
In order for Farran to send emails from the Juniper Square workspace, you must connect your shared company email address with Juniper Square. This is required in order to take full advantage of email features in Juniper Square, including the ability to track communications with investors.
To connect Farran email with Juniper Square, you will need to add the two CNAME records to your domain’s DNS (Domain Name System). (If you have an IT team or specialist there, they should be able to assist with this.) If your provider is GoDaddy or namecheap, you can find instructions on how to add these records in their help centers:
? GoDaddy: Add a CNAME record
? namecheap: How to Create a CNAME Record For Your Domain
If your DNS server automatically appends your domain to the "host" field, you'll need to remove your domain from the host records copied from Juniper Square. Enter these host records:
? Host 1:
Hi Peet, Here is some additional information from Juniper Square regardingTicket Number 37414 Under the workspace[Aurora Apartment Homes](https://farranco.junipersquare.com/admin_settings/configuration_category/organization_settings), this is where the email verification is having issues. (This email domain is[theauroragreatfalls.com](http://theauroragreatfalls.com/)) It looks like your IT team flagged that this domain (@theauroragreatfalls.com) does not haveany mailservice or mail security domain name records. Whereas the domain from the other workspace,[farranco.com](http://farranco.com/), is fully verified and able to send emails. The email configuration that is under the workspace,[Farran Realty Partners](https://farranco.junipersquare.com/admin_settings/configuration_category/organization_settings), is fully set up and verified. Additionally, based on what I can find, this error most likely happened because yourCNAME records were recently changed and/or removed from your DNS. If your IT department helped set up your domain within Juniper Square for the[Aurora Apartment Homes](https://farranco.junipersquare.com/admin_settings/configuration_category/organization_settings) workspace, I would recommend conferring with them to investigate any potential changes and readjust your CNAME records on your end in order to send emails. Edee, That's great info. What this comes down to is do you need/want @theauroragreatfalls.com to have mail service. I can create all the required domain/mail configurations to allow for secure sending, but do you need or want to *recieve* email @theauroragreatfalls.com addresses? Cheers.Peet
Hi Peet, Based on the email exchanges yesterday, it appears that the email issue with the Olivet instance of Juniper Square was triggeredwhen GoDaddy was switched to Porkbun (see attached outlook item from Liz). From a historical review back in 2022, the Olivet instance of Juniper Square originally had the CNAME records established for “theauroragreatfalls.com” (see second attached outlook item). Liz has authorized re-establishing these CNAME records for “theauroragreatfalls.com”. Please let me know when this is completed so that I can then “confirm” in the Olivet Juniper Square workspace. All, theauroragreatfalls.com and auroragreatfalls.com are seperate domains. Fore the web, theauroragreatfalls.com redirects to auroragreatfalls.com. For email, theauroragreatfalls.com resolves to the Farran Realty Partners M365 tenant. The required mailgun DKIM and SPF records are set for theauroragreatfalls.com: % dig _dmarc.theauroragreatfalls.com TXT +short "v=DMARC1; p=quarantine; rua=mailto:[email protected]" % dig theauroragreatfalls.com TXT +short | grep spf "v=spf1 include:spf.protection.outlook.com include:mailgun.org -all" % dig jsqa._domainkey.mailgun.theauroragreatfalls.com +short jsqa._domainkey.mailgun.theauroragreatfalls.com.esp.junipersquare.io. % dig mailgun.theauroragreatfalls.com +short mailgun.theauroragreatfalls.com.esp.junipersquare.io. The only emial address that exists forthe domain is an alaise on Edee's account: Name RecipientType MatchingAlias ---- ------------- ------------- Edee Feild UserMailbox smtp:[email protected] Is there anything else you might need here? Thanks.Peet
A lot of IT lingo here for me, if this resolves Edee’s issues with Juniper Square and she can get emails from the investors as well as send them then I am good. This is not my department of expertise. Thanks Peet, Liz Scaggs Operations Manager 406-541-9000 [embedded image](https://www.farranco.com/) P.O. Hi Peet, Historically when creating an email in the Olivet Juniper Square workspace, I was able to select the email as coming from either:[email protected] or [email protected]. – see snip below as an example. Will this still be the case? Thanks for all your support! Edee, Sending an email is purely a function of Juniper Square's platform. So as long as they haven't changed anything, it will continue to function the same. The records I fixed today have historicaly had nothing to do with your sending as [email protected]. ("Nothing" is an overstatement, they do help ensure that messages from @theauroragreatfalls.com have fewer issues when delivered through the service mailgun.) So unless Juniper Square/mailgun blocks your abiltiy to email again, you should be all set. Cheers.Peet
