#36869 Setting Tweak

Hey Peet,

Julie and I need some help with group configuration. I have added Julie to all of our groups so she can manage our shared event calendar and send invites to board members to board meetings.

Its worked great, however she cant seem to add FVLT-Board to events as an attendee even though I've made her a group owner. I noticed that Board didn't have the ability to expand its emails like the committee groups do.

Is that because the board group is setup different? I couldn't find any settings that made a difference to allow Julie to add the board on events or email board members.

Co-Pilot didn't have very helpful information for me, but I might be asking the wrong question.

Appreciate your help in configuring this.

I'm going to bet that it's an issue with the Global Address List (GAL). Outlook/Exchange uses a 'magic' list of all the users and groups on a system. If a user or group excluded from the GAL (which FVLT-Board was), everything should work exactly the same. Exchange, however might have different idease of "everything should work".

I've removed the "Don't show team email address in Outlook" check on the group in 365 Admin. Lets see how that goes (it can take up to 24 hours to fully propagate ... because Microsoft. If this is the fix you should be able to see it tomorrow.

Ooh Interesting. That's now how I was interpreting that setting. That's odd then that I was able to use/see it yet she was not.
