Do you have a recommendation for a semi portable printer that prints quickly and would be easy enough for me to connect to my laptop? I have one in my office, but it prints very slow. Thanks!

Depends on what you mean by "semi portable"... Setup-in-a-hotel portable? Or fly-with-checked-luggage portable? Color? or is b/w only acceptable?

I feel like you best bet would be a small color laser printer. There are inkjets that would be lighter and smaller, but would be inkjet with all the drawbaks of pintheads etc. Not that a laser printer would be without any sort of possible issue, but it would definately be more reliable and "portable" in that it should transport better than an inkjet.

A small black and white laser printer from Brother is 14.0" x 14.2" x 7.2" and 15.6lbs. A color laser is 15.7" x 15.7" x 10.8" and 34lbs. Most other brands HP/Lexmark/OKI have simalar sized printers as well. Brother is a bit of the-devil-I-know and is my prefered stand-alone brand of printers.

HP had older color laser printers that were about 10lbs lighter, but the same footprint and less capable.

Does this sound like the direction you'd want to go or should I rethink?

These two printers are quite similar, but I'd recomend the slightly faster/larger one because for $60 more you end up with a better printer and at least $60more toner (at Brother Genuine toner prices :D) ...

Brother HL-L3295CDW: $410 ... 3lbs heavier, 2" taller, 4ppm faster (31ppm vs 27ppm), 2x memory, 33% more duty cycle, but for me the kicker is the included starter toner is2,300 / 1,200 pages instead of 1,000 / 1,000 pages ...

Making sure everything is set for you all. It seems to be, but just an FYI, you put a surprising hurt on the toner... you should be able to see the toner levels here https://192.168.1.107 when your on the same network as the printer. You do have that TN229XLBK toner with you, correct?
