Your IT folks will need to stop the IIS server that EWS module is running on for you to close the year in MIP. Also, everyone must be out of MIP and Microix as well after the IIS server has been stopped.

Your IT folks should be familiar with the process for this but if not then let me know and I can send over an article that walks them through this.

what that means is you will need to contact the folks that host your MIP and your EWS. They are the only ones that can stop the EWS server to allow you to close out the year
