The last few days my monitors have periodically been going black. I’ve tried unplugging everything and it still seems to happen. Could you advise?

FYI I have now unplugged the monitors from my computer because the blackouts are happening more than once a minute and it’s very distracting.

The very best place is to start is a restart of your computer. It's been up for 5 days, normally not cause for concern, but since you're having an issue, lets start there.

Grace,

I'm sorry I missed your replies yesterday. I was unexpectedly on kid pick up duty. Glad to hear it's going okay now. I'm wondering if this particular display model and this particular surface are just not as compatible as they should be.

I'm going to recomend we put a dock inline between you and the dock-enabled displays. Even though it technically shouldn't be an issue, it seems to be. James and Amand have the same device + dock without the issues. Their displays are different, but these two displays function like theirs do when connected to a dock

I hope I can sneek one over there tomorrow.

Just noting that I installed a Dell dock that *should* take care of the issue. Please let me know if it persists.
