Hi Peeter, We can't seem to figure out how to add my computer to the "network" on the printer. Is it possible that my computer can't be added to the network because I'm on a wireless platform? - I have my doubts because I connect to the printer for printing wirelessly, so why would that be the barrier? It does not seem the face of the printer has an "add/remove" section in the network settings or the scan settings to manipulate destinations. Any ideas or help? (Hi Peeter 😂) Quincy I'm not quite sure what the goal is here. Exactly what are you trying to do? Print? Scan? God forbid, FAX? Thanks.Peet

I would like to scan a document from the printer/copier directly to my email address. When you choose the icon on the machine "Scan to Network" - my information does not show up as an option. Right now, I scan the document to Joe and Joe forwards the email to me with the scanned document. I would assume that it's as simple as adding my email address to the "network, but I can't find anywhere to do so in the settings of the copier/printer. I would hope it's not as complicated as connecting through a hard line, especially since the files are sent directly to an email address. Does that help? Helps a ton. The documents are scanned directly to the server, not to email see below. As long as your connected to the VPN, you can reach the sans folder here: \\bsb-srv.bigskybrew.co\UserFolders\Scans Joe's folder here: \\bsb-srv.bigskybrew.co\UserFolders\Scans\Joe And your folder here (should be setup in 20min to 1hr): \\bsb-srv.bigskybrew.co\UserFolders\Scans\Quincy If UserFolders is mapped as U:\ you can find the above at U:\Scans\Quincy Cheers.Peet A few reasons not to scan to email - Email is not secure - Mail servers are not file servers - Emailing attachments normalizes opening attachments that look like they are "just from the scanner" - MFP's don't support modern authentication for mail sending - M365 work arounds to email from an MFP can take hours to implement, are fragile, and lower the overall security posture of an M365 tenant
