My computer says I do not have a microphone anymore and I can not figure out where it went?

Sorry for the late reply, but when I checked your desktop i could see the monitor "speakerphone" for both recording and Playback. See bellow. Were you still having issue with your desktop?

Not sure what was going on with it. My computer did not show a microphone all day yesterday in my system, had to use my phone along with my computer for meetings. When I started today it was all of a sudden showing the microphone?

So I am at a loss but problem solved I guess, I thought maybe you just went in lol.

It is possible that the camera shutter switch (or less likely the mute button) completely disables the microphone. It's a feature of other dell displays with pop up cameras, that if the camera is down, the microphone is disabled. So ... maybe that?

My camera shutter is always off. With that said, I did turn it on to see if that would enable the microphone yesterday, but it did nothing. Very strange I have no idea.

If it happens again, for troubleshooting, unplug the power from the back of the display and plug it back in.
