| Ticket Work: Artichoke Support - Peet Thu 11-04-21 03:58 PM - 5:13PM Nope, they got our IP blacklisted/blocked from the feed that they're using. You can se the info in the reply I sent, but it works if I rout the traffic there over a different public IP. Since they're the only ones reaching out on that IP to greenbone, it has to be something the were doing/did. I configured that traffic to go out via a different public IP, so they can reach it, but if it gets blocked again I'm going to make sure they work it out with greenbone directly. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ from Ticket # 19829, Subject FW: 00270-2020-001 SFTT | 1.25 | $0.00 | — |

| Ticket Work: Artichoke Support - Peet Tue 01-19-21 11:35 AM - 11:50AM I'd recommend logging in as bank admin for any setup that you'd attempt directly from ps451srv. The token user is a local user and won't have the GPO's applied. And by default doesn't have access to ps451srv. Cheers.Peet from Ticket # 7891, Subject recovery - bankpac | 0.25 | $0.00 | — |
| Ticket Work: Artichoke Support - Peet Tue 01-19-21 12:38 PM - 12:53PM I think you'll have to install it like it has zero access to the network. i.e. Reach out to FIS, or I can drop it off and you can connect it to your network and run the install. I'm leaving the office in a bit. Let me know. Cheers.Peet from Ticket # 7891, Subject recovery - bankpac | 0.25 | $0.00 | — |
| Ticket Work: Artichoke Support - Peet Tue 01-19-21 01:20 PM - 1:50PM It looks like you didn't fix the part of windows that the bancpac breaks ... here's the how to there: Browse to C:\Windows\System32\dcomcnfg.exe, right click open as admin In dcomcnfg.exe: Console Root: Component Services Computers My Computer Right-Click on "My Computer" choose Properties Select "Default Properties" Tab Set "Default Authentication Level:" to "Connect" Set "Default Impersionation Level: to "Identify" Restart So that allows for the start menu to run again and for BancPac to launch ... however since it's not on the network, it will never run the entire way ... If you connect as BankAdmin again, are you able to where you need to move forward? Cheers.Peet from Ticket # 7891, Subject recovery - bankpac | 0.5 | $0.00 | — |
| Ticket Work: Artichoke Support - Peet Tue 01-19-21 02:06 PM - 2:06PM AFAIK, you'll have to talk to FIS regardless, so that might be the easiest. You may want to ask why the BandPac installer breaks the DCOMM settings with every single new install. There's really no reason for it to do that. Peet from Ticket # 7891, Subject recovery - bankpac | 0 | $0.00 | — |
| Ticket Work: Artichoke Support - Peet Wed 01-20-21 07:19 PM - 7:49PM Sorry EM. I just can’t get this to work as expected. | Ticket Work: Artichoke Support - Peet Thu 01-21-21 09:56 AM - 9:56AM You can explain to them that the VPN client is installing, but the connection profile does not seem to be installing with it. | Ticket Work: Artichoke Support - Peet Mon 01-18-21 11:02 AM - 5:02PM Let's talk tomorrow about the backup/restore bit. As for BOM-Recovery, yes you do connect via https://bom-spider01.bankfomt.com ... but I did just get your "new" laptop squared away. It was crap driver that did me in last time. It seems to be running like a champ right now. But, of course you'll need the extra software installed etc. Don't forget to log into an office product and activate it! Take a peek and let me know what is/isn't working. Cheers.Peet from Ticket # 7849, Subject backups audit - which server & DR Laptop | 6 | $0.00 | — |

The computer needs to unbound and rebound to the domain with some special attention paid to the WinHttpAutoProxySvc, and I likely need to fix all the computers on the domain on this issue, but really trying hard to figure out a way to do so with a script instead of by hand. | Ticket Work: Artichoke Support - Peet Mon 12-28-20 03:52 PM - 4:07PM There's really nothing blocking this on our end. I've allowed pings to that IP and they do return correctly i.e. "ping 10.231.198.65" in a command window. Here are the ports that are open from us to that IP ... Any ping TCP 135 TCP 35451 TCP 36200 - 36300 Perhaps something is missing. BUT if the problem is different between the users on the same computer, then it's likely a configuration issue for those users. Is there a permission that's required? i.e. do users need to be administrators, or power users or some other setting they're missing between those users? Is there a computer that works for all users regardless of who's logged in? Is there a user that works regardless of the computer they're logged in? Is there a user that always fails on a specific computer with a user that always works on that same computer? Annoying questions, I know, but they could lead to an easy to compare working vs non working scenario. | Ticket Work: Artichoke Support - Peet Tue 12-29-20 11:04 AM - 11:19AM Okay so they issue is 100% between computers ... If I can take a peek at your working computer Em. | Ticket Work: Artichoke Support - Peet Wed 12-30-20 05:18 PM - 5:48PM Since it works on Em's computer without issue, it's not a bandwidth issue. There's defiantly something different between your two computers. Fingers crossed that updating to the current feature pack takes care of it, but I'm not holding my breath. I'm happy to work with their support, but it sounds like they're grasping a bit ... Cheers.Peet from Ticket # 6878, Subject FW: FIS Ticket CS01179812 has been commented | 0.5 | $0.00 | — |
| Ticket Work: Artichoke Support - Peet Mon 01-04-21 10:23 AM - 10:38AM As for the original issue on Alex's computer. I did just double check that she's not in the Power User's group. | Ticket Work: Artichoke Support - Peet Tue 12-22-20 11:37 AM - 11:52AM That sounds like something is consuming too much memory. You can always do an end-run around this and connect "directly" to the VM with Hyper-V Manager on BOM-SysAdmin. Looking now. from Ticket # 6682, Subject product server | 0.25 | $0.00 | — |
| Ticket Work: Artichoke Support - Peet Tue 12-22-20 11:45 AM - 12:15PM So it doesn't look like there are any rouge process or anything going off the rails consuming memory, just enough added together to really fill up 8GB of memory. I've doubled the memory to 16 and we'll see if anything decides to fill into the extra memory space inappropriately. So all said and done you should be ale to remote to that server. | Ticket Work: Artichoke Support - Peet Tue 12-22-20 11:36 AM - 11:51AM Ah that makes way more sense! Yeah, I think I'd accidentally mixed together the 65W and 90W while building the computer and sent the wrong ones out the door with the laptops. I didn't notice until I tried setting up these little Dell desktops and they were screaming at me about the lower-than-90W adapters. It's almost impossible to tell the two apart unless they're side by side ( ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ ). Cheers.Peet from Ticket # 6657, Subject bank laptop | 0.25 | $0.00 | — |

| Ticket Work: Peet McKinney Mon 10-26-20 02:56 PM - 3:11PM I don't think I'm mis-reading any of this. You don't have more than one NS provider because you use cloud flare on the public side. They're silly robust, BUT if it does go down, migrating NS services to another provider is trivial and you'd only loose access to the website and mail. Annoying but not world ending. As I still understand it your website is not needed to do business, so 2. is a Yes. 3, is a No because you don't really need a plan to get your web back up ... 3a isn't exactly what they're looking for here, but it's the answer as it applies to your line of business connectivity. 4, no ecommerce in the sense they're asking. If so the IP from which you are connecting is blocked for some time. I don’t know the duration, but it’s less than a couple hours. I’m sure you’ll be able to try again without being blocked. Unless you enter your password wrong again ;). The lockout for the AD is just 30 minutes. Cheers.Peet from Ticket # 6107, Subject Locked out of Splashtop? | 0.25 | $0.00 | — |

| Ticket Work: Peet McKinney Thu 09-17-20 05:12 PM - 5:27PM Hey guys. Sorry for the delay here I've been pretty deeply swamped the last few weeks. I'm just coming up and would love to help you with this. The first goal with getting Bank of Montana's data more accessible and more monitored is migrating your data that's on BANK's S:\ drive to Microsoft 365's Sharepoint Online. As well as working to classify your files and documents to enable you to take advantage of Azure Information Protection ... i.e. marking files private so they can only be explicitly shared and opened by folks not in your enterprise. I will be doing my level best to not implement any sort of VPN as part of your remote access plan. Considering the "new normal" we'll be living in, I'd like to ensure that any solution we develop is based on the assumption of being able to work without the need for network/LAN-based security and working toward a full zero-trust model. I can explain this more on a call or meeting. All that said, would you guys like to schedule a call to talk about what steps you'd like to take and where your current pain-points are? Just let me know a couple days and times that would work best. Cheers.Peet from Ticket # 6049, Subject FW: Going Digital / VPN? | 0.25 | $0.00 | — |

Thanks.Peet There are somethings that I can't quite work out without the actual scan results document. I couldn't reach it with the share file link as me and for the life of me if you sent it to me, I cannot find it. | Ticket Work: Peet McKinney Tue 07-28-20 01:34 PM - 1:49PM So the issue here is likely that the file is being tagged with some security metadata that we are not expecting. I do have some questions about the flow here ... You're email an .xlsx document internally and using the "Encrypt-This" tag to send the email (I'm sorry, but I don't remember what your tag is to force encryption). Then when the recipient gets the attachment it cannot be opened. Is that correct? Can the recipient save and/or copy the file from the email and try to open it from another location. Does the same thing happen? AFAIK you'd not be requesting permission from the sender to be able to open it, but from an as of this moment unknown administrator. i.e. there's something unexpected and more restrictive than we meant to have going on here. | Ticket Work: Peet McKinney Tue 05-05-20 01:05 PM - 3:05PM As for the networking/stability issues with your VM. You'll want to note in your installation instructions that if a client is having issues with connectivity and a Hyper-V guest to look at either the network team or the switch embedded teaming and set the algorithm to Hyper-V instead of Dynamic. There seems to be an issue your iso and the SET virtual switches in our stack. | Ticket Work: Peet McKinney Tue 04-28-20 01:38 PM - 2:08PM To keep the IP's to 4 these would be the best choices: 65.121.75.122 69.144.216.140 69.144.216.142 72.175.247.130 As for the ownership of IP's this one should be simple as our IP range hasn't changed since last year. After a long thread, the two .eml's I've attached were the end of the "proof of ownership" for last years engagement for the same IP's. | Ticket Work: Peet McKinney Wed 04-15-20 09:26 AM - 9:56AM Okay, that was a rabbit hole that I'm glad to have pulled myself out of! BancPac is up to date as far as I can tell. There is no way for BancPac to run as if it was on the bank network from it's current location because it needs to communicate with that 10.96.123.56 address. Since the FIS networking equipment only knows to route packets to the 10.231.198.0/24 network and BOM-Recovery is on 172.16.125.0/24 that just can't happen. Which is likely a good thing. You don't really want the box you're testing for DR to be able to reach the actual Production environment. That said, it can reach PS451SRV for file sharing, so it can be updated when you touch it. If you have just a moment today to be on the phone with me and connect to the FIS VPN, I'd love to check just a couple bits about how it works. | Ticket Work: Peet McKinney Fri 04-03-20 12:20 PM - 12:50PM Both the Verifin Operator and Verifin Extract Scheduled Tasks ran yesterday. Verifin does not seem to have any logging in the .bat scripts, so I cannot do much more than say that Windows Scheduled Tasks that call d:\verafin\Extract.bat (Information 4/2/2020 11:59:05 PM 102 Task completed (2) 24b0ec32-23bb-4e1e-b766-d9e4aff3fd98) and d:\verafin\Operations.bat (Information 4/2/2020 10:15:06 PM 102 Task completed (2) dc3c96b5-e54b-4968-ab24-3983ebdc2e2f). I'd be happy to work with Verifin to add logging to their .bat scripts. I've attached a copy of the scripts in case you'd like to forward them on so they could add some basic logging. Just let me know what else they may need. We will be scheduling the port date for their telephone numbers after the router is installed, probably for some time during the week of the 14th. That is when the service will go live, so I’ll be coordinating a time that works w/ your schedule, our schedule and Qwest’s schedule so we can all be available if needed. | Ticket Work: Peet McKinney Mon 03-23-20 08:53 AM - 9:08AM 1. Is this possible? I think yes? Yes ... 2. If so, how long would it take you to do that? About a week or so total ... 3. Does it change where our data is stored? Like would Microsoft have “access” to it? Yes the data gets stored with Microsoft on their servers. There are enough safeguards in place that they don't exactly have "access" to it. ie encryption 4. Is it riskier to have it on OneDrive? If so, would probably have to get board approval? It comes with both increase risk, but much more control. The increase risk is that yes your your staff would have more ubiquitous access to the data and possible sharing of that data, however you'll also have a full view into who, what, where information about your data as well as more complete functionality of the O365 DLP tools. It's much easier and more effective to run DLP on 365 when the data and the egress of that data is all funneled through the same suite of tools. I'll add a bit of a paragraph here in a bit to explain to the board. from Ticket # 5166, Subject Moving S drive to OneDrive | 0.25 | $0.00 | — |

| Ticket Work: Peet McKinney Tue 03-24-20 11:05 AM - 12:05PM Sorry, the day got away from me yesterday ... Migrating your File Server data to OneDrive/SharePoint does come with risks, but the risks are far out-weighed by the benefits. With all/most of your data in 365, we'll be able to take better advantage of 365's reporting and data loss prevention features. We should also be able to better limit access while making it easier for bank staff to reach the data. As for work flows, Microsoft has spent a great amount of effort to make co-editing Office documents with a team as seamless as possible, but most if not all of those features require the data to be on Onedrive/SharePoint. The board could also have it's own SharePoint site to securely access board packets etc. The process of lifting data into Onedrive/Sharepoint is not exceedingly complicated, but it is vital to plan and test the deployment extensively before shifting away from the local fileserver. On the plus side, since Emilie worked so hard on reorganizing the server for data classification, we should be able to keep the existing structure and server whole and in place during any testing and migration. --- Need any more? The cost for migrating is really going to be dependent on what tools we need to have in place. There are naming restrictions on 365 storage that have to be handled as well as building out sharing permissions. If you ever thought permissions on the windows file server were complicated, what until you see Sharepoint. 3rd party migration tools can help smooth a lot out, but one of the best (sharegate) is around $4000/yr. We'd only would only need one year, but it's not insubstantial. There are other solutions for sure, but most (if not all) of the migrations I've done have been using a couple small tools to rename files and using a 3rd party app to keep one drive running as a service on the server. All of it comes back to planning and testing, but like I said above, because you've got your server well organized, it can stay in place while we work out exactly what you'd like to do. | Ticket Work: Peet McKinney Tue 03-10-20 11:48 AM - 12:33PM You've got a couple options. • If she has a decent-ish iPad, we can just pick up a keyboard case for her. Probably something from Zaag • You could pick up a great 13 inch laptop for around $800/$900 which could be a full-time spare or put into service as the DR laptop (though you may want a 15 or even 17 for the DR). | Ticket Work: Peet McKinney Tue 03-10-20 03:37 PM - 4:07PM So this isn't as bad as it can be, but there are some odd bits of information in here. The key here is that Teller does communicate with PS451srv over a completely unencrypted channel, but the data that it passes back and forth over that channel is encrypted. To what extent and with what cyphers is unclear, but it is encrypted. Jeff does say that we can use an encrypted SQL connection, but I think mistakenly assumes that the SSL certificate must be a purchased one. We could, with relative ease, apply an SSL certificate to PS451SRV. That said, perhaps we put a pin in this one and enable SSL after the next audit? If you think that's a good idea, no need to respond. If you'd like to work on this now, just respond and I'll let you know what to ask Jeff to get us started. | Ticket Work: Peet McKinney Tue 03-03-20 02:13 PM - 2:28PM Hey Em, I've dropped the FIS folks of this thread. So here's the post-mortem on the work on Friday. The routing can be a bit tricky for this sort of thing, and it was, but I got our side worked out before you had to take off. I had the routes a bit off, but I'd also planned on being wrong and had an entirely different (and correct) configuration built. That said, Rhoderick could not find route the bank was taking to connect to BancPac. It really puts a point on the fact that while FIS says they have a complete understanding of the security and routing between FIS and the Bank, they really do not. Rhoderick did the best with what he had, but FIS just doesn't have any sort of documentation about the connection(s) between FIS's networks and BOM. Sounds like he's found the issue and we should be able to knock out the work Wed/Thurs. I'll be able to monitor traffic for a week or so and then apply rules to block all but the required traffic. I've got a couple questions about your understanding of the connectivity between you and FIS. • PS451 is maintained on-site and synchronized with FIS over the link, which I thought made BancPac/Teller able to run if the link was down. Was that your understanding as well? • What services are dependent on the link back to FIS. i.e. What would you expect to fail to function if the link is down? • While we've seemingly never had any issues with uptime, what would be the business impact if the link goes down? Cheers.Peet from Ticket # 4762, Subject RE: EXTERNAL: RE: NSR114686 Bank of Montana - Project Information - Execution of new configuration | 0.25 | $0.00 | — |

| Ticket Work: Peet McKinney Fri 03-06-20 11:50 AM - 1:20PM The cut over last night with Roderick went smoothly. All the traffic to and from the FIS is routed through our Kerio Control appliance. I've set the appliance to log all traffic to and from FIS. As I said in our messages, I don't see any traffic from FIS which is surprising, not surprising. I've create rules for all the traffic I've seen so far and disabled logging on those rules. Any new traffic will be caught and logged by the catchall FIS in/out rules I have in place and I'll add that traffic to new rules as they come up. I figure we'll only need to leave the "door open" to FIS for about a week or two and I can shut off access for all but known traffic. We'll likely have to ask FIS what certain traffic is so we can log and document it. It seems like a few of the servers *may* be using dynamic ports but we're in a much better spot now. | Ticket Work: Peet McKinney Fri 03-06-20 01:43 PM - 2:43PM FIS link ... Yeah I was under the impression that BancPac could run locally without the link. However, we've proven that to not be the case. I think it would be very much worth making sure with FIS what services can/cannot run without the FIS link. Here's my current understanding of what each product requires to run: •BancPac - FIS-Link AND PS451SRV (if either are unavailable it fails which seems confusing. Why have PSV451 then?) •Teller - PS451SRV (Teller can run offline and synchronize with PS451SRV once it's back online. It makes me wonder if Teller can synchronize directly with FIS, or if can/does only communicate with PS451SRV ...) •Vision/FRM - PS451SRV AND ?FIS-LINK? (I'm thinking Vision is like Teller in that it likely only communicates with PS451SRV. WE can do a dirty test this by blocking traffic to FIS from a computer with Vision and launching and working within Vision) •Image Center - FIS-Link (This seems to communicate with a public IP through the Vision Link) •VIP (FIS Authenticator) - FIS-Link (this is to reach Bill Pay/CST) Here's what we need to ask the appropriate folks at FIS: BancPac While reconfiguring our network connection to FIS this week, we realized our existing understanding of the requirements for running BancPac were not correct. Because we're running a local product server for BancPac (PS451SRV), it was our understanding that the BancPac client could run without connectivity to FIS via our link. However, that doesn't seem to be the case. Without the link in place and correctly routed, BancPac fails to communicate with 10.96.123.56 and will not start. Is this expected behavior? If the link back to FIS is required to even start the BancPac client, why not simple connect directly to the FIS BancPac infrastructure? Teller: We recently reworked our network connection to FIS. Our Teller install is currently working without issue, but we'd like to ensure that there is not any traffic originating with the Teller product that communicates directly back to FIS. It's currently our understanding that all Teller Client traffic is internal between the Teller Clients and our product Server (PS451SRV). Is this correct? Does any client or server component communicate directly with an FIS-hosted resource/network? Vision/FRM We recently reworked our network connection to FIS. Our FRM install is currently working without issue, but we'd like to ensure that there is not any traffic originating with the FRM product that communicates directly back to FIS. It's currently our understanding that all FRM Client traffic is internal between the FRM Clients and our product Server (PS451SRV). Is this correct? Does any client or server component communicate directly with an FIS-hosted resource/network? ImageCentre We recently reworked our network connection to FIS. We're trying to get a full understanding of the traffic we send over our link with FIS. ImageCentre seems to only require access to 156.55.116.205. This question may be academic, but we'd like to know if since this is a public IP, is it possible to reach it without routing through our link back to FIS? i.e. could we provide the public IP's for our network and reach this server via the Internet? VIP (FIS Authenticator) - FIS-Link We recently reworked our network connection to FIS. We're trying to get a full understanding of the traffic we send over our link with FIS. With what IPs/Networks/ports does the FIS Authenticator communicate? | Ticket Work: Peet McKinney Fri 03-27-20 12:06 PM - 12:06PM Em, Attached is the final ruleset for your BOM communication with FIS.
